Dear BSI Families & Community,
At Boston School International (BSI), we deeply believe in the potential of every student. Our commitment is to provide a learning environment that inspires, challenges, and supports our students so they can thrive, pursue their goals, and turn their dreams into reality.
My name is Juanita Arias, and it is an honor to introduce myself as the new Executive Director of BSI. I take on this role with a strong sense of responsibility and excitement, ready to continue building on the school’s legacy of excellence.
This year, my focus will be on three key pillars: strengthening our culture of accountability, enhancing institutional processes and procedures, and continuing the significant progress made in communication, infrastructure improvements, and—most importantly—supporting our students and teachers in their pursuit of academic excellence.
I am committed to working in close collaboration with our extended leadership team, which includes the Principals of Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary, as well as the IB Programme Coordinators. Together, we will ensure a unified, coherent vision centered on the holistic development of our students.
I firmly believe that lasting success is achieved through teamwork, strategic organization, and a shared vision. Together—families, educators, students, and staff—we form a community that thrives when every voice is heard, valued, and empowered to grow.
I am here to build alongside you, to listen, to lead, and to celebrate every achievement we reach together. With structure, commitment, and passion, I am confident this will be a remarkable year for our school community.
With appreciation and high expectations,
Juanita Arias

About our Director
As a woman, mother, and educator with more than thirty years of experience in the international education sector, I strongly identify with personal values as a fundamental compass in decision-making and actions. Personally, I am a proud mother of three young adult children—professionals committed to contributing to society and working ethically to help build better realities for all.
I take pride in seeing how my beliefs have influenced both my children and the many students with whom I have shared throughout these years, who have found inspiration to live with purpose, to serve, and to be generous, empathetic, and respectful.
I am passionate about understanding different ecosystems, nature, and gardening. I am also the proud grandmother of a six-year-old chocolate Labrador, and I love embarking on cultural and historical discovery journeys. Anthropology, the study of political systems, aesthetics, and architecture are among my other passions.
I look forward to seeing you all at BSI so that together we can chart the path toward the success of our children.
