SPORTS

The Purpose of Physical Education at BSI

Physical Education class, from PK4 through third grade, is essential to the development of our students. BSI’s program seeks to develop basic skills and physical capacities according to the student’s corresponding level. Furthermore, PE class is essential to the development of healthy habits, as well as to the nurturing of moral and social values.
Starting from fourth grade, PE class is sports oriented, and the purpose of the class is to teach the students the basic rules of each sport addressed, as well as help the students develop athletic skills, in order to achieve their development, stimulating teamwork and competition.
Many of the sports opportunities that we offer are available through enrolling ECA’s. We don’t only practice the classic team playing sports, such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, etc. but we also have space for tennis, ping pong, bicycle riding, board games like chess, and others. The purpose is to give our students the most opportunities to express their competitive skills, exercise their bodies, and stimulate their minds positively. The active practice of sports has already been proven by science to provide numerous benefits to the general wellness of a human being. Please check the ECA section of our website If you wish to get more information about the available sports activities.

Extracurricular Activities (ECA)

Our wide range of Extracurricular Activities (ECAs) enhances the educational journey for students in grades K-12 at BSI. Whether in Creative Arts, Academics, or Physical Activities, we offer a nurturing environment where students can pursue their passions and reach their full potential. Each ECA is thoughtfully organized into age-appropriate groupings, ensuring that activities are tailored to the developmental needs and interests of our students.

All activities are carefully supervised by BSI staff members or by external instructors who have been thoroughly vetted and approved by the school administration, ensuring both quality and safety in every program we offer.

Classes are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and include a snack every day for the students.

CAFETERIA

At our BSI Cafeteria, your child’s health means a lot to us. This is why we are passionately committed to offering a high-quality menu and products. We have more than seven years of experience in the local market, and we currently feed more than 6,000 students daily. Our mission is to offer more responsible eating habits by offering food options that have the best ingredients with the goal of offering students and guardians a more reliable and delicious option of food catering in the school.

In Natuviva we don’t use any preservatives or canned foods in our products, and everything is baked daily to guarantee freshness. We comply with all the requirements of MEDUCA in relation to the foods that can be sold in school cafeterias as well as the amount of sugar that each product can have. More than 85% of our products are made daily in our kitchen from scratch and 100% of our organic waste goes through a biodigester that converts it to greywater, so it does not contaminate the environment. In 2022, we saved 18 tons of organic waste! We are passionate about customer service and technology and that is why in our NatuCafés we use Tiptap, a biometric payment system, so students pay with their fingerprints and the guardian can have control of what each child is buying and how much they are spending. We offer six daily options on our website so students and guardians can choose their favorite option each day. In our NatuCafés we offer snacks, drinks, and desserts that students can buy each day.

In Natuviva we cook with love for all our clients and seeing students happy is our passion.
