We are a dedicated group of parents committed to supporting the growth and development of Boston School International for the benefit of all students.
The Parent Association was established to:
- Strengthen and promote the BSI community
- Represent the voice of parents
- Foster open communication and active listening
- Support the educational journey and social development of our children
We serve as a bridge between the school and the parent community, working together to create a positive and enriching environment for all.

Betsy Rois 9.2
President:
I am Betsy Rois Daza, of Colombian nationality, I have been living in Panama for 20 years. I am a Food Engineer and I work as Commercial Manager of the Industrial Division in a local company.
My other job is being a full time mother of my beloved son Andres Felipe, who is my greatest blessing.
We belong to the wonderful BSI community since its foundation, and Andres is already in 9th grade, where he has been very happy, hoping to finish his studies in this institution.
Angela Cortés 9.1
Vicepresident:
I am Angela Cortés, Colombian, I have lived in several countries over the last 10 years, I studied Law, I have a degree in Pedagogy with a master’s degree in Montessori Pedagogy and a Diploma in Instructor Training in Mindfulness.
I am the mother of Simón and Sara Sofia, and without a doubt I’ve been given the greatest gift of all as their mother. It is a journey full of love, care, tears, joy, sacrifices, which has meant changing my life, my time and way of thinking, and giving all my heart and all my strength even when I don’t have it, so that they are well, so that they are happy.
We have been part of Boston since 2019 and it has been a path full of challenges, but also an enriching experience for my children. They have not only acquired academic knowledge, but also embarked on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth that has led them to reflect on their achievements and challenges in learning, thus promoting self-reflection and the adaptability that the world and BSI offers.
Liliana Peña 8.2
Secretary:
I am Liliana Peña, I am from Colombia, as well as my family. We are happy living in Panamá.
I studied Business and I have a Master’s degree in Production Management, and other studies in Logistics.
We have been part of Boston since October 2022. My teenagers Sebastian and Martina are very happy in Boston School.
Carolina Morillas 8.2
Assistant & Communication Secretary
My name is Carolina Morillas. I was brought up in a mixed household by my British mother and Peruvian father. I grew up in Peru and the US and left home to live in England, Europe, China, Taiwan and other wonderful places. I love languages and have studied 10. I moved to Panama a year ago with my husband and children.
I studied Chinese and Politics in the UK, China and Taiwan, and later studied Corporate Social Responsibility and Management in Latin America. My work experience has always been focused on Communications and Public Relations, in all my jobs around the world. I am the proud mother of 3 teenagers (Alex, Illari and Briana) and 3 pets (Osso, Henry and Toto).
I love the academic, cultural and opportunity mix that BSI provides, as well as the location of the school. It has made it easy to meet other parents and take part in school activities. My role in the PLT is to improve the communications that we parents give and receive, as well as supporting and organizing events that will bring the BSI community closer together.
Carolina Bueno 3.1
Fiscal:
Hello, my name is Carolina Bueno. Manuel and Olivia’s mom. Manuel has been part of the Boston pack since 2019. I am an industrial engineer with experience in manufacturing, logistics, inventories and projects.
I am Venezuelan, we have resided in Panama for the last four years, I fully enjoy the multicultural wealth that this country offers, especially by living this experience within the BSI pack.
My goal as a member of the parent board is to create a community where we can support each other, share experiences and knowledge for the benefit of all.
I enjoy collaborating with families and watching how children grow and develop in all aspects of their lives.
Luz Morales-Arauz 3.2
Treasurer:
My name is Luz Morales-Arauz, I am a Panamanian mother of a wonderful child and we joined the Boston School pack two years ago after returning to our country after living many years in the Middle East. I divide my time between being a mother and professional occupations. We like to do many activities as a family and together with my husband, we are fascinated by organizing trips, since we are believers that cultural exploration is another way to educate our son.
Being part of the parent board has been very rewarding and I hope to end our period with many projects completed and being a positive contribution to this work.
Ivonne Sheperd K1
Vocal:
My name is Ivonne Sheperd. I was born in Panama City, Panama and raised in Panama, Europe, and The U.S.
My work experience is focused on international business development for the higher education industry working with broad relationships held with foreign education agencies, accredited universities, foreign governments and other private entities throughout the U.S., Asia, Eastern Europe and South & Central America.
I am fluent in English, Spanish and French, and hold a Master of Science in Journalism from Iowa State University, and certifications from University of Michigan, University of California Irvine, and University of Virginia.
I am the mother of Valentina (4th grade) and Scarlett (Kinder) and I have been part of the BSI community since 2021. My role in the PTL is to help the community become familiar with the teaching approaches of the International Baccalaureate Programs (IB) sessions for parents.
